Dean of School of Aviation Sciences

Dean brings wealth of aviation experience to new role.

NASHUA, NH – Daniel Webster College today announced that Triant Flouris, Ph.D., has been named Dean of its School of Aviation Sciences.

Dean Flouris is professor of aviation management at Daniel Webster and has headed-up its MBA for Aviation Professionals program for the past year.

Prior to joining Daniel Webster College, Flouris served as professor in the department of accounting and business and director of The City University of New York Aviation Institute at York College, as associate professor and director of the international aviation MBA Program at Concordia University in Montreal, and as associate and assistant professor of aviation management at Auburn University. He is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Civil Aviation, the Journal of Enterprise Resource Management, the Journal of Air Transportation, the International Journal of Professional Aviation Training and Testing Research, and the Journal of Aviation Security Management, and the author of three books.

Dean Flouris is a commercial pilot and certified flight and ground instructor with over 5,000 hours of total flight time.

Flouris serves as Governing Council Member of the Transportation Research Forum (TRF), a trustee for the University Aviation Association (UAA), Advisory Board Member for the Professional Aviation Board of Certification (PABC), and Advisory Board Member for Seneca College, Toronto, Canada. He is a Research Associate for the Norman Mineta Transportation Research Institute and has served as alternate representative of the Republic of Cyprus to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) since 2003 and advisor to it ministry of foreign affairs on international aviation policy maters. Triant is the Recipient of the 2007 UAA Laursen Award for Excellence in Aviation Teaching and Service and the 2003 UAA Sorenson Award for Excellence in Aviation Research and Scholarship.
